What I gained most from traveling?

I have gained a lot of different things from being on the winter term program, Conducting Business in the Pacific Rim. First and foremost I have learned a lot about myself while traveling from Hong Kong to Singapore and then Australia. I have learned that patience is defiantly a virtue. Of course this is what you hear all the time but I really realized how important it is when you are in another country waiting on people. It’s really a big deal. Another thing I have figured out about myself is what truly makes me happy. I have been able to be away from everything I’m use to and realize what I really need to enjoy my life. I have been able to come back and know what to concentrate on rather then focusing on the things that are negative. The most important thing that I feel like I have gained while traveling in the Pacific Rim are the great connections with business leaders in all three countries; these countries are becoming very important in the business world. It was definitely a great winter term program for business students who want to be on the front line of our generation and globalization. I really have learned a lot about these countries and have a whole new perspective of how the United States and other countries interact with one another.
